If you want an authentic and peaceful beach escape on Busuanga Island, Ocam Ocam Beach is our absolute favorite spot. Located on the quiet west coast—about 70 to 75 km away from the noise and busy crowds of Coron Town—this gently curved bay offers soft sand, swaying coconut trees, and a warm, friendly local vibe.
We have personally visited, tested, and explored every corner of Ocam Ocam and its surroundings to give you honest, first-hand recommendations for your trip.
What to Expect at Ocam Ocam Beach
Ocam Ocam is more than just a beach—it is a place to slow down and breathe. Here is what we love about it:
Long Sandy Beach & Pure Relaxation: The beach features fine sand and plenty of shade under the palm trees. It is the perfect place to lay back in a hammock with a cool drink.
Snorkeling & Kayaking: A flat coral reef sits directly in front of the beach, so you can go snorkeling right from the shore. You can also rent kayaks to explore the calm waters of the bay.
Spectacular Sunsets: Ocam Ocam offers some of the best sunsets on the entire island. Watching the sun dip into the sea in bright colors is an unforgettable experience.
Authentic Local Vibe: Most of the village is quiet and residential. You will meet welcoming local families and enjoy genuine island living away from mass tourism.
How to Get There & Transport Options
In the past, getting to Ocam Ocam was a bit difficult, but today you have several clear choices depending on your budget and travel style:
Scooter / Motorbike
1.5 – 2 hrs
Daily rent (600PHP) + gas
Gives you complete freedom. The roads are mostly paved and scenic, though the final 1.5 km is an unpaved dirt road. We recommend stopping at Concepcion Falls on the way!
If you rent a scooter / motorbike for more than two days most rentals give you a discount.
New Direct Shuttle Bus
~1.5 hrs
Budget-friendly
Runs 2x weekly in high season directly from Coron Town to Ocam Ocam. You can book tickets via Mermaid Club. Tickets are between 800 and 1000PHP
Private Van Transfer
~1.5 hrs
3,000 – 3,500 PHP
The fastest and most comfortable door-to-door option. Contact us and we connect you.
Public Van & Local Transfer
~Half day
~250 PHP (van) + local transfer
Take a shared public van from Coron Q Van Bus Station to Salvacion (250 PHP). From Salvacion, take a motorbike (600 PHP), a chariot/tricycle, or a private car (1,500 PHP) to Ocam Ocam. Go on our transportation-page to reserve bus and pick up service.

Ocam Ocam Mission Inn: Simple, clean wooden huts close to the pier with shared bathrooms, hammocks, and a green garden.
Simple & Authentic: Sea Front Cottages are traditional bamboo huts rented directly by local families right on the shoreline.

The food scene in Ocam Ocam is small, charming, and authentic:
H Nice Restaurant: A open-air bamboo restaurant with a sand floor directly on the beach. They serve great local meals and surprisingly authentic Thai food—their Tom Yum soup is excellent!
Bahay Dagat: A unique floating restaurant on the bay for a memorable meal surrounded by water.
Cocktails & Starlink Wi-Fi: The elevated restaurant at Casadyan Inn accommodations serves cold drinks and cocktails with a great view. If you need fast, reliable internet, they offer Starlink Wi-Fi for a small fee.

Buluang Village & District
Nested between lush hills, rice fields, and the ocean, Buluang is a small, charming village with local eateries, small sari-sari shops, and a famous seafood spot:
Buluang Fishpond Restaurant: Sitting on stilts directly over a fishpond, this restaurant serves fresh seafood with generous portions. Their grilled fish and sinigang (sour soup) are delicious and ideal for sharing. Check the location on Google Maps.
AMAZEN Lodge and Resort: A comfortable place to stay nearby featuring a beautiful garden, free Wi-Fi, outdoor seating, and picnic areas. You can book it on Booking.com.
Degtayan Falls: A lovely nearby waterfall. Note that the trail entrance passes through private property, so please ask permission from the property caretaker and leave a small tip.
Heading East: New Busuanga & Quezon
If you drive in the opposite direction, you will pass through New Busuanga. This small town has convenient shops, a pharmacy, and a Caltex gas station, that is decorated with large Israeli flags.
Seems quite respectless and misplaced.
Continuing past town toward Quezon brings you to:
Chinibayan Falls: A beautiful waterfall hidden in the forest that offers a real jungle adventure.
Road Conditions Warning: The final stretch of road heading toward Quezon is in very rough condition and difficult to drive. If you are heading to the popular Miley Lodging Restobar, please drive very carefully—we see motorbike accidents on this rough section almost every week!
